Collie's Wobble
Overview
In the heart of nature

Alongside Donnie's Rest, Collieswobble is the newest unique accommodation across the campsite completed in Spring 2023. It has been completed as a unique, hand built, rustic yet abundantly characterful timber cabin.

It's particularly perfect for bigger families and dog owners - and anyone who likes the space and freedom of camping but prefers four walls to canvas!

So called because of the shepherds dogs that used to be housed in the nearby kennels, luckily the site is now much more serene, with no more barks, howls and squeaks of the excited pack! The cabin sits on an elevated deck and walkway, and uninterupted views North across the Strathearn Valley.

Collie's Wobble
Unwind and Recharge
Relax in comfort

Collieswobble is full of naturally shaped timber cladding and peeled logs, accentuating the hand made provenance.

It has a huge and very comfy super king-size bed and can be set up with up to an additional three single beds.  Or we can arrange up to three adult single beds if preferred. Crisp bedding and fluffy towels are included.

The cabin is fitted with a wood-burning stove so it's an ideal hideaway for all seasons.

It has a private loo and shower pod directly outside, with compost toilet and piping hot showers.

The cabin has a secluded deck area, surrounded by Larch and Ash trees.  There is a charcoal barbecue and picnic table as well as a fire pit - perfect for some late night smores!

We welcome well-behaved dogs in this cabin (maximum of two).

Collie's Wobble

Collieswobble was built with sustainability at its heart.

It was constructed using hand-carved larch grown just a few hundred metres away and is internally clad using our very own Scots Pine.  Only wind blown trees were used and all raw timber was processed and milled on site.

The cabin is fitted with pre-loved windows, doors and lamps, saved from landfill and given a new lease of life.

It has a green roof, planted with grass seeds and wildflowers which will help with insulation and in time become a thriving micro habitat, attracting butterflies, insects and pollinators and increasing the biodiversity of the site.
